Purpose and Reason:
Effective August 1, 2011, homeless households and individuals and their spouses receiving SNAP benefits who are disabled or 60 years of age and older may access prepared foods through participating DHS approved restaurants.
Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:
Emergency filing of this rule is necessary so that homeless, disabled and elderly SNAP households can have immediate access to prepared meals.
